Converting an AP (Recorder) to CPE (Camera) for Connecting to an Existing Wireless Bridge for PTMP



1. Connect to IP address 192.168.120.1 after connecting to the units Wi-Fi signal. The units Wi-Fi signal can be identified using the last 4 digits of the units MAC address which also form the last 4 digits of the SSID. Please wait for the Wi-Fi symbol to appear at the top of the device, confirming the connection, before entering the IP address. If a password is required use ‘admin’.

2. Close the ‘Configuration is uninitialized’ panel

3. Select ‘NVR(AP) Pair Again’

4. Select ‘Start’

5. Make sure the country code matches the host wireless bridge this unit will be connected to, and select next.

6. Select the ‘Work Mode’…in this case ‘CPE’

7. When selecting ‘CPE’, you must scan for the WDS signal from the host bridge. If it does not appear, reposition the unit closer to the host and re-scan

8. Once the hosts WDS SSID appears select it then select ‘Next’

9. / If a WDS password is requested select ‘Default Password’ unless its been changed. Select ‘Next’

10. Confirm the details and ‘Save’ for connecting to the host bridge..

11. Monitor the units 3 x signal strength lights for confirmation of a successful link (30secs to 2mins).

12. Refresh the IP address to see the new connection….
